May half-term - Beautiful British Butterflies & Eco Outdoor Games

Celebrate the magic of British butterflies with us this May Half-Term!

Find out about some of the butterfly species we spot around Becky Falls and discover their incredible life cycle. Children can create a butterfly life cycle spinner to take home and learn simple ways to attract butterflies into their own gardens.

Alongside the butterfly activities, families can enjoy a range of traditional eco-friendly outdoor games including beanbag toss, willow hoop challenges and giant noughts and crosses.

Not forgetting all our usual activities, including a choice of three signposted circular walking trails. You can take your time to explore over 50 acres of woodland rich in wildlife. Children can have a go at our free Nature Challenge which includes a prize for every child.

Say “hello” to our animals here too, from goats and ponies to meerkats and our chatty macaws, along with the Animal Discovery Zone, where our more exotic animals live. We also offer hourly Keeper Talks with our experienced keepers. You can even help us feed the meerkats at 1pm!

In between all the fun, you can relax and treat yourself in the woodland café and gift shop. There really is something for all ages, including your dog who will be made very welcome too!
