What a great day out and way better than we anticipated. Visited on a blazing hot Sunday 05/07/26. Really cool due to the shade of the many trees. Staff all really friendly and the location itself is actually huge with a wide variety of animals including an owl, skunk, meer cats, goats and reptiles. We came for a walk so the animals were an unexpected treat. They have a board where they clearly display feeding times and we had a very informative talk from a male keeper who was feeding "Cherry" the resident barn owl. Told us many interesting facts and even had a Q& A. Similarly young man in gift shop came to find us to answer a question we had previously asked about the porcupines. Waterfalls truly breathtaking and there are a couple of different walking options both well signposted. Cafe clean and decent- great brownies and coffee and toilets also clean. Activity packs available for children for just a couple of pounds. Would highly recommend for families as plenty to do but dont wear sandals as some areas are quite rocky. Well worth the very reasonable ticket price and I would recommend to anyone. FYI Car park was free, map to get around was also free. Five stars ❤️

Booked online as a group of 8. Carpark easy to find. Stated booking name and given stickers for entry. I had read some negative reviews prior to coming. Every member of staff we encountered were delightful. Very friendly and knowledgeable. The weather was quite poor but the talks still went ahead at each section. A lovely walk through the forest to the falls and there are 3 routes you can take. Very well looked after and maintained forest walk that's clean and lovely. We all loved it. Even our chihuahua and he complains alot!

A simply stunning experience from start to finish. First off, the staff are absolutely amazing, from the gentleman on the gate, the cafe staff to the keeper. Each and every member of staff was extremely polite, friendly and knowledgeable. Nothing was too much trouble for any of them. The cafe food was excellent and extremely good VFM The animal enclosures were fantastic, learnt more about meerkat's from talking to the keeper for 5 mins than I ever knew before. We took the red trail walk, did it in just under 50 mins and the scenery was simply gorgeous. My hasn't been here in over 35 years, this was my first experience and we both came back absolutely beaming. Perfection. Simply perfection for a stunning day out.

Incredible location, good walk but only if you can hack the steep steps. There is a flat walk as well around the lake for prams etc. loads of space to have a picnic or on site shop/cafe if you need its kids playbarn with sit in toys and games. Not sure if it’s still on but the purchase of a ticket covers two visits!

The number 1 activity from my children's perspective, during our visit to Torbay. They loved the trails, they especially loved the waterfalls and the mini zoo is an extra (although I personally felt the macaw needed a friend, it looks very lonely). Dog loved it too, will definitely go back. I know I went as a child, so it's great to have a beautiful spot for generations to keep enjoying.
